Parker FID Gas Stations

Parker FID Gas Stations provide both high-purity hydrogen fuel gas and zero-grade support air for gas chromatography. Designed to support 5–6 flame ionization detectors, flame photometric detectors, or total hydrocarbon analyzers, the system generates both gases onsite from deionized water and compressed air.

Hydrogen Generators for Fuel and Carrier Gas

Features and benefits

  • Provides both high-purity hydrogen and zero-grade air from one system
  • Ideal for supplying approximately 5–6 FIDs, flame photometric detectors or total hydrocarbon analyzers
  • Produces 99.9995% pure hydrogen at pressures up to 60 psig
  • Produces zero air with <0.1 ppm total hydrocarbons, measured as methane
  • Helps eliminate the need for separate hydrogen and zero air cylinders in the laboratory
  • Can help increase analytical accuracy and reduce detector cleaning requirements
  • Automatic water fill simplifies routine operation
  • Quiet operation with minimal operator attention required
  • Parker reports potential ROI in less than one year
  • Meets NFPA 50A requirements and applicable CSA, UL and IEC standards

Supply Fuel Gas and Zero Air Onsite

The Parker FID Gas Station combines two gas generation technologies in one enclosure. Hydrogen is produced from deionized water using proton exchange membrane technology, while zero air is produced by purifying an onsite compressed air supply.

Depending on the model, the system can provide up to 250 mL/min of 99.9995% pure hydrogen and up to 2,500 mL/min of zero air with less than 0.1 ppm total hydrocarbons measured as methane.

Find the Right Equipment for Your Application

Your gas requirements depend on the type and number of detectors you operate, along with the hydrogen and zero air flow each instrument requires. Air Energy can help you evaluate your laboratory needs and determine whether a Parker FID Gas Station is the right fit for your application.
