Parker FT-IR Purge Gas Generators

Parker FT-IR Purge Gas Generators provide purified purge and air-bearing gas from compressed air for FT-IR spectrometers. The systems supply CO₂-free air at a dew point below -100°F (-73°C), helping produce cleaner background spectra and more accurate analysis.

Parker Spectra 30 FT-IR purge gas generator

Features and benefits

  • Produces CO₂-free air at less than -100°F (-73°C) dew point
  • Reduces CO₂ concentration to less than 1 ppm
  • Provides purge air with a dew point down to -100°F (-73°C)
  • Helps improve the signal-to-noise ratio of FT-IR spectra
  • Helps increase FT-IR sample throughput and maximize instrument uptime
  • Helps eliminate the need for nitrogen cylinders and Dewar flasks
  • Provides a continuous purge gas supply to help prevent interruptions during instrument operation
  • Compact design helps conserve laboratory floor space; Spectra models are wall mountable
  • Designed for continuous 24/7 operation
  • Uses standard compressed air to produce laboratory-quality purge gas
  • Parker reports low operating costs and a typical payback period of less than one year compared with delivered purge gas
  • Parker lists CSA, UL, IEC 1010 and CE certifications for the system

Produce FT-IR Purge Air Onsite

Parker FT-IR Purge Gas Generators use a combination of coalescing filtration, regenerative pressure swing adsorption and high-efficiency particulate filtration to convert compressed air into laboratory-quality purge gas.

The system reduces carbon dioxide concentration to less than 1 ppm and provides air with a dew point down to -100°F (-73°C). This dry, CO₂-free purge gas helps limit atmospheric interference in the FT-IR sample chamber and supports cleaner background spectra.

Find the Right Equipment for Your Application

FT-IR purge requirements can vary based on your spectrometer, required purge flow, available compressed air supply and the number of instruments you need to support. Air Energy can help you evaluate your application and identify the Parker purge gas equipment that best fits your laboratory requirements.
